About The Artist
Siara Siara (Sai-rah) Abid is an American abstract painter. A native brooklynite, Siara received a dual BA in Psychology and Art with a minor in Art History from Brooklyn College. Siara is a student, member, and employee of The Art Students League of New York, having studied under such illustrious artists as Mariano Del Rosario, Frank O’Cain, Dean Hartung, Larry Poons, and James Little.
In addition to being James Little’s studio assistant at The League, Siara was a panelist for a League exhibition, has participated in a solo exhibition and many group shows, and worked as an instructor, helping impart foundational skills to the next generation of New York artists.
Through her work, Siara shares her unique voice as a Muslim-American-Pakistani woman in an effort to shatter stereotypes and open the art world to women like her.
